Issues and Priorities
-
I evaluate every policy through one clear question: does this help or hurt families?
If a proposal contributes to rising costs, higher taxes, or makes it harder for families to stay in their homes, I am not in favor of it.
The government should focus on essential services and avoid decisions that increase the cost of living for working families and seniors.
-
Property taxes are flawed and too high, and families and seniors feel the impact first.
I strongly support protecting and strengthening the primary residence exemption, so families are not overburdened simply for owning their home.
As a member of the Wasatch County Council, I opposed the most recent property tax increase and helped put senior property tax relief in place.
Local services matter, but taxes shouldn’t rise in ways that force families and seniors out of their homes.
The goal is simple: don’t let government costs push people out of their communities.
At the state level, I would pursue reforms such as limiting the state’s ability to hold the basic levy rate for more than one year.
-
Education changed my life, and now as a teacher, I see firsthand what helps students succeed.
I strongly support Career and Technical Education (CTE) and CAPS-style programs that provide real skills and real-world experience.
We must strengthen CTE and CAPS opportunities in rural communities, non-traditional learning environments, and for students who thrive outside a one-size-fits-all classroom.
Higher education programs that train teachers should remain focused on strong instruction and professionalism, not ideological agendas, while respecting families and local values.
-
Good policy starts with listening.
As a County Council member, I’ve held listening town halls and community conversations.
I will continue creating opportunities for citizens to be heard and involved.
I’m ready to take our values and local experience to the state level—to serve families today and future generations.
-
Religious freedom is a foundational Utah value.
Faith communities should be treated fairly and with respect.
Projects like the Heber Valley Temple reflect the importance of faith, family, and community, and should not be unfairly targeted or politicized.
-
I believe in limited, responsible government that respects individual freedom and stays focused on core responsibilities.
Government exists to protect God-given rights of life, liberty, and property—not to intrude into daily life.
I govern in line with Republican Party principles and the Utah Republican Party Platform, including lower taxes, private property rights, local control, and accountability.
On the Wasatch County Council, I’ve worked to keep government growth in check and be a careful steward of taxpayer dollars.

Voters deserve transparency and accountability in the election process.
Clear, enforceable rules around candidate signature gathering help maintain trust.
Transparency strengthens confidence in both elections and government.
